She’s a young photographer from Iran and her photos tell a lot about her country. Alieh Saadatpour is certainly among the most talented photographers in Iran, for sure our favorite, together with her fellow countryman Hamed Saber (we’ll talk about him in one of the next posts). Her loving view of her land is unique, and the style of her pictures is poetry to us.

Alieh is 24 and she lives in the most beautiful city in Iran, Isfahan, “the half of the world”. She has just finished a MS in water engineering but it’s now 7 years since she took up a course in photography, and she started traveling and taking pictures at all four corners of her country. In the last 4 years she refined her skills and took some of the best pics of Iran we’ve seen around. She also spends time painting, so don’t miss her paintings, they are on Flickr, too.

Dear travelers, meet Alieh.

  1. I’ve checked almost all of the pics on Flickr and I have to say that her work is amazing, whether it was photography or painting. She opened my eyes to a new world that I didn’t know much about as well as you did :) Thank you!
