We all know Darren Cronian for being an award-winner blogger on TravelRants, where he’s been delivering news and advice on travel for consumers for quite some time now. Darren is now up to something new and very interesting: MyLifeInLeeds is a brand new magazine on things do to, to see, to eat and to drink in Leeds, his hometown.

The magazine itself seems structured to easily give you all the information you need to plan your vacations: each article is a guide in itself, with pratical information about specific aspects or your trip. It soft-launched to his followers with a tweet, and we’re very happy to tell you all about it, so that you can bookmark it for your next trip to Leeds. Taking advantage of this its large student population (University of Leeds attracts more than 30.000 students every year), Leeds is a perfect place if you want to enjoy a weekend of fun and nightlife. Darren’s advice extends to hotels as well, starting with those who can satisfy the needs of the most exigent traveler.

It is obviously a work in progress, but everything seems mapped out very conveniently: we’ll be watching the next step of this very interesting project, and we can’t help but asking ourselves (and Darren): is this just the beginning of something bigger?

Romeo and Juliet is probably one of the most- if not the most – romantic stories of all times. A love so pure that brought two young lovers to a destiny that still moves many lovers around the world.

The news is fresh and juicy: you can now try and be Romeo & Juliet on the most important day of your life: Romeo & Juliet’s balcony is in fact open for guys and gals getting married! The official announcement has been given last Friday by Verona city officials. The balcony is part of the residency of the Cappello family, said to be the real Capuleti family of Shakespeare’s tale. It’s been a destination for lovers coming from all over the world to enjoy this and all the other beauties that Verona has to offer.

Lovers from all over the world are expected to flow in as soon as the news spreads around, so if you want to make a surprise to your special one, book your place in advance!

You’re flashpacking in the wild, on your crazy trip to Hong Kong, and bringing the usual amazing amount of technology among – your camera, your Macbook, iPod and lots of more gimmicks. Yes, we know you love it at least as much as we do, but a big, amazing, and unexplicable problem comes up in 2009: you don’t have the right plug, and you’re thinking “Crap! If I thought about it sooner…”

Sure, there are few easy solutions for most of the plugs – all-in-one plug adapters like this one, but it’s one of the most forgotten items in the world of travel (source: me). Plus, even if it looks right, it doesn’t mean it is right, and not all of us are electricists.
Luckily, someone thought of a smart solution: WhatPlug is a website that allows you to easily find the right plug for every place in the world. How? Piece of cake. Just type www.whatplug.info from your wifi hotspot, before the battery of your device runs too low, and get to the nearest shop with a piece of paper carrying all the data.

Ok, but… where to find paper in 2009? Honestly, no idea.
